Description

Did you want to do one of our in-person lampshade classes but couldn't make it?

Do you want to paint your own lampshade but don’t know how to start?

Do you love the idea of colour, but need more confidence in how to use it?

Do you want to take your art in a different direction?

Do you deserve the treat of time to relax and unwind?

If you answer yes to any of these, this is the class for you.

You can be a beginner with an open mind or an artist wanting new inspiration.

Do the class willing to experiment and have fun. Wear old clothes or an apron. Acrylic doesn’t wash off if it dries on your clothes!

Take away the pressure of things being too perfect and let yourself go with this freestyle painted lampshade class.

Abi breaks down this gorgeous lampshade painting into easy steps

Once you order the class, you will be sent a link to the recording which you can do whenever suits you. The class lasts approximately 1 hour 20 mins. You will probably find you need longer than this to paint your lampshade. Do stop and start the video as you need to and if it suits you better, watch the class all the way through to begin with and then play again and paint along.

You will also be sent links to the suggested materials you need.

We recommend you invest in:

A box of 10 Daler Rowney or Winsor and Newton acrylics or similar

Acrylic brushes, flat brush and large round brushes

A piece of paper to practice on

A blank lampshade

A water soluble pencil

An old store card or credit card

Kitchen roll or loo roll

A large pot of water

Wear an apron or old clothes
